My Boy …..

Good morning peeps, the sun is shining here and it looks like it’s gonna be a beautiful day. Of course, everyday is beautiful – its just the weather that can let it down! Living in England I think I need to be hypnotized into loving cold wet weather!!

Anyway, today I thought I’d share a little picture (or two) of my doggies…

Firstly, here is Teddy

Teddy Edward

Teddy Edward

Then we have princess Lilybett

They are both standard poodles and are half brother and sister – they have the same mum but different dad’s. These pictures were taken in June 2015, so Teddy would have been just under 2 years and Lily just under 3 years, and they were both in need of a ‘spa day’

Any hoo hugs for now ✳

The animals went in two by two …..

Just thought I’d share with you –

When they aren’t eating, pooping, sleeping or rough housing they like the spectator sport of watching people go by!

Update on the Princess…….

Okay, just to let you know the Princess poodle has finally healed – hooray!

We had a slight delay in her wound healing because her “lampshade” was rubbing on the bottom edge and made it sore. Catch 22 really….she had to wear the lampshade because she kept picking and licking, but that made it sore so she wanted to pick and lick! Still it’s mended now and we can get back to a bit more normality, she’ll be glad to see her doggy friends again.

As for the Prince PeeWee’ s supplies – didn’t get everything but made a good start. However, I have ordered a doggy pushchair for him, so that he can come out with us before he’s had all his jabs!! As Mirandas mother would say “such fun!”

just a tad excited……….

I’m starting to get just a little bit excited now. Not too much you understand but just a teeny bit.

I’m not sure where I read it, but someone said you can never have too many poodles….one is never enough. Well, guess what, we are getting an addition to the family! Yay!!

Princess Poopy Pants is getting a baby brother……….Will probably be known as Prince PeeWee.

He is indeed another standard poodle, apricot colour and will be coming home next weekend, I can’t wait. I just hope the Princess of the house will like him.

This week end we are off to buy him his collar, name tag and lead

Oooooh! I’m even more excited now!!!

I will put a picture as soon as I have one x

a little update………

a little update to my previous pos ‘shall I or shan’t I’

Yesterday I finished the second chest of drawers.

I’m really very pleased with the way it has brightened up the whole room.

I have loved these drawers for a long time.

They were in my ‘Doing room’ for a ages and they hold a whole lot of crafting stuff.

When we downsized to this place I couldn’t let them go, they didn’t really fit anywhere but I didn’t care……I wasn’t getting rid of them. Pine colour didn’t fit with the rest of any colour scheme that may have accidently formed (our houses don’t get planned, they evolve!)

As a last resort they got kind of ‘dumped’ in the window recesses (the room is quite large but a lot of it is taken up with windows. As well as these two along the side wall there is another HUGE one across the front!). But at least they were still here and I could still store my crafting necessities.

Now they look like they ‘fit’ a whole lot better – much more in keeping. They look brighter and cheerier, and I’m rather glad I took the plunge.

And …….that dog gets in everywhere – I’m sure she thinks she lives here Ha! Ha!

a little shabby chic………

This is how it started...

This is how it started…

My hubby came home last week with a couple of little chests of drawers. They had definitely seen better days but he just wanted to put them into his workshop / garage.

Well I’ve looked at them for a week, just sitting there, in the conservatory looking sorry for themselves so today I decided to cheer them up a bit!

This was the result

I had fun with my little bit of upcycling, hope you enjoy seeing it………..hope hubby likes it too!

a jolly good time……..

Yesterday was a really good day, I really enjoyed my self.

The weather wasn’t terrific but the company was superb. We had some visitors coming from way back where we used to live and they were bringing their dog with them – an 8 year old standard poodle called Pepper. I was looking forward to our poodle meeting him. I don’t know what it is exactly, but standard poodles look gorgeous in their own right but when there is more than one they look even more special. Somehow the end result is more than the sum of the parts of you get what I mean.
Anyhoo, as people that we hadn’t seen for ages were coming I thought a little housework was necessary! Not something that has been overly high on my priority list of late I must admit. I pottered about and did a little light dusting etc and I actually ENJOYED it…..is that a little sad or what?

When our friends arrived we had a good, fun afternoon. The dogs got on really well, with the only problem being my baby thinks every one loves her all the time, she just doesn’t stop and it gets a bit much (I think Pepper would have liked some space bless him). I’m sure she has got the doggy equivalent of ADHD – does any one know if there is such a thing?
I also rather enjoyed a glass of wine,,,,mmm, NICE!
We took the dogs for a walk to the beach where they had a good run around and a dip in the sea – they do love the water you know, but they don’t look any where near as glamorous when they are wet.
Not the best picture in the world but all I could get.

After our friends left we toddled off to our local club where we met up with more friends.
What can I say, we had such a laugh there!
I laughed so much it was starting to hurt – I’m sure I would have burst my stitches if I’d had any, but it was so nice.
It’s so true what they say about laughter being the best medicine.
Thank you peeps for being there and letting us share your company xx

A quick word on the subject of stitches and healing:
My recovery from my mastectomy is doing amazingly well. I don’t have much pain or very often so that is nice. My arm movement and all that is coming along nicely to. I’m sure I’ll write another post on this subject!
